FLAPPI is made and sold by Donny Sin. Buying it means agreeing to what is below. It is written plainly on purpose.

No refunds

All sales are final. FLAPPI is software delivered instantly, and it cannot be returned once the licence key has been sent.

This is why there is a free way to see it working before you pay: the board on the front page is the real thing, running in your browser. Type on it, step through every screen, and satisfy yourself it does what you want first.

Where the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be signed away, those rights still apply and nothing here removes them.

What you are buying

A licence to use FLAPPI on the Macs and screens you own or control, for as long as you like. Not a subscription. Updates to the version you bought are included, free, with no time limit attached.

What you may not do

  • Share, resell or publish your licence key.
  • Take the software apart to make a competing product from it.
  • Remove or work around the licence check.

A key found being shared publicly can be cancelled.

FLAPPI Live

Live is billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Cancelling stops the next payment; it does not refund payments already made. When Live ends, the board keeps working on your own network, because that part never needed us.

What is not promised

FLAPPI is provided as it is. It is careful software and it is tested, but no software is guaranteed to be faultless or to run without interruption, and it should not be relied on where a failure would be dangerous or expensive. Liability is limited to what you paid.

Some screens show information from other people's services: weather, prices, headlines, calendars. Those services can change, charge, or stop, and what they report is theirs rather than ours.

Privacy

The short version: the app runs on your Mac, your board stays on your Mac, and there is no account to make.

What stays on your computer

Your boards, screens, menus, prices, colours and settings are files on your own Mac. They are not uploaded, not backed up to us, and not readable by us. Deleting the app deletes them with it.

What leaves your computer, and why

  • Your licence key, once, to check it is real. Nothing else goes with it.
  • What a screen needs to fill itself in: a place name for weather, a symbol for a share price, a subject for headlines. Sent to that service, at the moment the screen needs it.
  • Updates: the app asks whether a newer version exists.

There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifier, and no profile of you anywhere.

Messages your guests send

When a room answers your board, those messages travel across your own wifi to your own Mac. Nothing about who sent what is recorded: no names, no phone numbers, no device identifiers. You approve each message before it appears, and deleting it removes it.

If you switch on the optional second opinion from Google's moderation service, the text of a message is sent there to be scored, marked so that Google does not keep it. That switch is off unless you turn it on.

FLAPPI Live

Live exists to put a board on the internet, so with Live the board and the messages sent to it are stored on our servers rather than only on your Mac. They are kept while the board exists and deleted when it is deleted.

Payment

Payments are handled by Dodo Payments. Card details go to them and never through us. We see that an order was paid, and the email address it was bought with, so a licence key can be sent to it.

Asking about your data

Email donsinp@gmail.com and ask for a copy or a deletion of anything held about you. For the app alone the answer is usually short, because almost nothing is held.

These pages describe how FLAPPI actually works. They are written by its maker rather than a lawyer, and they are not legal advice.
